Editorial policy

I write the guides myself. Every claim is sourced from public-domain material: government statistics, operator policies, National Rail documentation, and my own data.

Sourcing

Quantitative claims link to the source in the article. Where a number comes from my own data, the methodology section says what window, what population, and how the figure was derived.

Corrections

If I get something wrong, I fix it in place and add a “Last updated” line with the date. Earlier versions are in the article's git history.

No fabrication

I don't invent stats. If I can't source something, I either drop it or say I don't know. “Most operators” is fine; “exactly 47.3% of operators” needs a source.

AI assistance

Drafts may use AI for editing and rephrasing. The facts, structure, and final wording are mine. Nothing is published without me reading it.

Conflicts of interest

Railly shows ads on some pages. Editorial content is independent of ad slots. Advertisers don't see articles before publication and don't influence coverage.
